Participants in the Metaxart summer workshops are responsible for making their own travel arrangements from their location to Poros, Kefalonia, Greece. However, we will be happy to assist with accommodation information, your travel planning and are at hand if you need advice regarding your stay in the island.

Kefalonia has an international airport (EFL) with direct flights from several cities among the world. (

After arriving at Kefalonia airport, the road journey to Poros takes about 45min. This can be by taxi though most participants hire a car and drive themselves.
The taxi fare is a minimum of  55.00€  each way, so driving to and from the airport actually pays for a few days car hire. Nevertheless the village of Poros is set to be one of the main ports of Kefalonia which connects daily the mainland with the island. Do not hesitate to call us for more information.
